How to Testify - Good News Method

Updated: Dec 28, 2021

The Good News Method is E.A.S.Y

  1. Eye Contact

  2. A Smiling Face

  3. Simply Listen

  4. Your Honest Testimony

Hey, Marshall Hayden here with the Good News Podcast. I'm so excited to tell you about the #goodnewsmethod for sharing your testimony. It's something that I believe God gave to me.

It's E.A.S.Y. to remember, literally, that's our acronym E.A.S.Y.

What does the E stand for? Eye contact.

When we're sharing Jesus with someone, we want to make sure that we're looking that individual in the eyes. Why? Because it shows that we care, that we love them, and that we're genuine,

What does the A stand for? A smiling face! make sure that you're smiling. This is a friendly conversation that we're having with individuals, and we want to make sure that they see that we love them. That's what we're about, right? That's what Jesus's followers are known by. The love that they have for one another.

John 13:35

S stands for simply listen.

Listen to what the other person has to say. When you do this, you'll realize that the Holy Spirit gives you even more than you could have asked for. Additionally, you'll be able to empathize with that person even better.

What does Y stand for? Your honest testimony.

Make sure that you just tell the truth, as it is the truth of what Jesus did in your life, and how you came to know your Lord and Savior, that is going to be sufficient. The truth is going to be sufficient. You don't have to lie. You don't have to exaggerate. But let them know exactly who Jesus is, and how he showed up in your life. You'll never know how impactful that honest truth, actually is.

You see, God says that His word is sent forth to accomplish the purpose for which it's intended, that it will never fail. Our God is an honest God. He tells the truth. He is not a man that lies.

As his image bearers, likeness bearers, and representatives of his kingdom here on the earth; We have a duty to be truthful in everything that we do.

After all, what is it that sets man free? It is the truth that sets man free! So if you can remember this, and maybe it'll help you when you're going out into all the world and preaching this Good News to all creation. Anyways, I love you. Until next time, you guys have a great day.
