I believe that we at Good News Ministries have stumbled upon a potentially world changing Fund Raising Concept. Listen closely, because this concept happens to be foundational to our beliefs as an organization. I say this in all seriousness, I believe the implementation of this method will completely change and transform communities for the better.
This concept is universal in who can implement it, and it can be used to support nearly anything you could dream for. Partner this with modern technology and anything is possible, truly.
So what is this approach? I like to call it the Johnny Appleseed Method.
Why have named it this?
Because Johnny Appleseed, walked all over northeast America and planted apple seeds. He knew that he would never taste the fruit of his efforts, but even today thousands upon thousands taste the fruit of his labor. He selflessly sowed into the Generations to come, leaving a tangible inheritance for Americans all over. You can literally taste and see that his efforts were not in vain. This is the power of selfless service friends. Johnny Appleseed was following the same approach that Jesus Christ led. Matthew 23:11 But the greatest of you shall be your servant.
Johnny's mindset was bigger than him, and his mindset has made him famous still today. Think about it, practically everyone in America has at least heard the name Johnny Appleseed.
So what is this #fundraising method I've been hinting at?
It's the sower mentality (Johnny Appleseed Method), and it involves the Good News Note. Johnny Appleseed sowed apple seed, Good News Ministries sows the word of God.
Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Isaiah 55:10-11 (NLT)
“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
How do we do this ?
by treating the Good News Note like a seed, and the people we come across like the soil. We sow these seeds of God's promise by handing them out with a smile, implementing the #goodnewsmethod when we do it. We leave them behind on the dinner table, leaving them for the next un-expecting visitor. We canvass our neighborhoods, leaving a beautiful promise of scripture on their foot mat. We slip them into the lockers at our high schools. We become partners in the restoration of our communities, and see the souls of many come to know Jesus Christ, and his amazing love. Do you see how powerful this concept is?
Luke 1:37
The word of God will never fail.

Now, this vision becomes even more dynamic when you implement a fundraising component. God is always encouraging, and always giving people something to hope for. It's who He is as the restorer of all things. His word is proof of his character. If you don't believe me check out these scriptures.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Psalm 147:3 (NLT)
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
Hebrews 11 is reason enough to believe God in faith. I can testify to the truth of this verse -- that hopes makes themselves real in a process of evidencing -- a step by step discovery, or realization --
What is the hope of implementing a fundraising component to the #GNN?
We want to realize the hopes, dreams, and visions of the Body of Christ become real through crowd funding, and the sowing of the word of God into communities.
One side of the note features a scripture or bible promise, while the other side features a QR code linking to a blog post -- detailing the vision, and linking to a gofundme page.

Imagine fundraising this: #goodnewsadventures
Good News ministries launches a missions program. The program is called Good News Adventures. The program is a year long united states mission trip, which focuses on selfless service, book of acts style fellowship, and evangelism . Its purpose is to raise up strong, independent, leaders of the faith, and to transform the lives of registered participants through hands on ministry experience.
Participants have the opportunity to earn a mission trip, a Good News Adventure, through the Appleseed Project. In this program they plant God's promise everywhere they go, leaving Good News Notes everywhere. They go into the community and tell the world the Good News! People read the scriptures, and when you scan the QR code -- you come to a Blog Post.
The Blog Post is a profile on the Registered Evangelist. The blog post includes their testimony, their reason for going on the mission trip, and the dollar amount needing to be raised. At the top and the bottom of the post is a button linking to the Go fund me page.
By doing this we can literally sow the word into communities, and sponsor evangelism across our nation. It's very exciting. We are in full pursuit of making this happen!
We ask that you be praying for us, and consider supporting us by purchasing this months edition of the Good News Note.
Proceeds from the Good News Note will always support a clear vision. You can learn more about what we're dreaming for by reading the blog or visiting our home page!
I love you, and see ya soon!
Sincerely,
Marshall Hayden
